ZERO TOLERANCE TO BULLYING POLICY

Encore School of Performing Arts Classes is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children and staff. Bullying in any form will not be tolerated. This policy applies to all individuals participating in Encore School of Performing Arts activities, including students, teachers, assistants, parents and other staff members.

Definition of Bullying

Bullying is any deliberate behaviour that causes harm, distress, or intimidation to another person. It may be verbal, physical, emotional, or online (cyberbullying). Bullying includes, but is not limited to:

  • Name-calling, teasing, or spreading rumours
  • Exclusion from activities or social groups
  • Intimidation, threats, or physical aggression
  • Cyberbullying through social media, texts, or emails
  • Any form of harassment based on race, gender, ability, or background

Prevention Measures

Encore School of Performing Arts is dedicated to creating a positive environment through:

  • Regular discussions on kindness, respect, and inclusivity
  • Supervision by staff to ensure a safe atmosphere
  • Encouraging open communication among students and staff
  • Providing training and resources to help identify and prevent bullying

Reporting and Response

  • Any incidents of bullying should be reported to a teacher or staff member immediately.
  • Reports will be taken seriously and investigated promptly and confidentially.
  • Appropriate action will be taken, which may include warnings, parental involvement, suspension, or removal from Classes, depending on the severity of the incident.
